Hello! We remain in network with Aetna insurance plans. Please disregard any letters you may have received in the mail from Aetna.
We will continue to participate in all Cigna plans. Unfortunately we will no longer participate in any United Healthcare plans as of 2/1/2022. We continue to work with United and hope to be back in network at some point in the near future. If you have out of network benefits with your United plan, you can be seen in the office and we will submit claims on your behalf. Please continue to visit this webpage for more updates. Many of you received communications from our office stating that we would no longer be in network with both United and Cigna plans as of 1/1/2022. We will remain in network with both United and Cigna plans through at least 1/31/2022. We are currently working with both insurers and would expect to remain in network even after this date. We are proud to announce that Dr. Conner O’Keefe will be joining our practice in July, 2021. He previously practiced as an interventional cardiologist in the Chicago area and will be seeing patients in our Newton office. He performs both coronary and peripheral interventions and holds multiple board certifications. Dr. O’Keefe is affiliated with Newton and Morristown Medical Center. Please contact our office to schedule an appointment with Dr. O’Keefe.

Our office is open for routine and urgent appointments! Please note that all patients will have to wear a mask at all times when in the office. We have altered our cleaning protocols, office traffic, testing protocols, and are enacting in-office social distancing. Thank you for your cooperation!
We also continue to offer TeleMedicine visit for select patients. As you know, this is an evolving situation and we will continue to adjust our office schedule as needed.
The process should be simple but may involve a few steps to connect to our doctors. Note you may check in to your appointment 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time. For your first TeleMedicine visit, we do recommend that you check in early to test your connection and equipment.
TeleHealth/Televisits Instructions for Smart Phones
- Using your smart phone, download the Healow App from your appstore.
- Once you have downloaded the Healow App, should launch the app. You may need an access code, which is unique to our practice. The code is: AEEJAD.
- If you do not have a user ID and password, you can obtain one or reset your password if you do not know it by logging on to http://www.sussexheart.com. Click on Patient Portal (top right). From there you can recover your account or password. If you cannot access your account, call our office for assistance.
- Once you have your user ID and password, you can now log onto the Healow app, navigate past the initial setup steps by answering the questions.
- Once logged onto Healow, you will see a button named “Appointments” on top of the wheel.
- Enter your Televisit by clicking on the Televisit appointment.
- For Android users, you may have to give the Healow App permission to use your your camera and microphone (go to app permissions in your settings).

TeleHealth/Televisits Instructions for Desktop Users
(Please note you must have a webcam and microphone)
- Log in to the patient portal at http://www.sussexheart.com.
- Go to “Appointments” on the bar on the left side of the screen.
- Click on “Join Televisit”.
- If you have your vitals, you can submit them, otherwise, leave them blank. Click “Submit Vitals.”
